You’re probably wondering what my deal is…

To quote Wayne Campbell, “I’ve had plenty of joe jobs. Nothing I’d call a career. Let me put it this way, I have an extensive collection of nametags and hairnets.” In this way, I’m no different from many of my fellow military spouses. After a few job changes, several military moves, and years of experience as a military kid and now spouse, I’m working as a freelance writer. My writing has appeared in Military Review, Military Spouse online, the National Military Family Association’s My Military Life blog, and NextGen MilSpouse. I love writing relatable content about military family life, as well as the way my military childhood has shaped me, and the intersection between family and force readiness.

I speak about military family issues in formal and informal settings, and sometimes in the form of five-minute standup comedy sets.
